Jordan Barling

Expertise

Jordan is a senior associate in the Construction, Infrastructure and Projects Group, with experience providing advice to clients across the project lifecycle. She advises principals, contractors, consultants and suppliers in the construction, technology and energy sectors. Her work primarily involves preparing and negotiating project documentation and advising on claims management.

Jordan has an excellent knowledge of Victoria’s building regulatory framework, having previously been engaged by the Building Division of the Department of Planning and Transport (formerly the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning) to provide policy advice.

Experience

Jordan's experience includes:

  • advising the City of Melbourne in relation to redevelopment of Gurrowa Place (Queen Victoria Market southern site)
  • advising the Gippswaste Resource Recovery Group in relation to the collaborative procurement process for four waste streams
  • drafting procurement contracts for Vestas on the Turitea wind farm (New Zealand)
  • advising Correct Care Australasia in relation to the procurement of health services
  • drafting procurement contracts for United Super and ISPT
  • advising Fed Square on the procurement of an information technology project
  • advising the Victorian School Building Authority in relation to a number of joint use agreements for the delivery of infrastructure projects across several Victorian schools
  • preparing construction and services contract for secondary education providers
  • advising the Victorian Government on project obligations and insolvency in relation to a number of housing projects
  • drafting procurement and services contracts for the City of Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula Shire Council
  • advising consultants in relation to services contracts and claims
  • providing claims management advice to a major roads contractor.
