Charlie has significant experience in a broad range of commercial disputes and litigation, where he has acted in all State and Federal jurisdictions. Charlie advises clients across various industries in respect of matters involving debt recovery and insolvency, property litigation, trade practice disputes, equity and trust disputes and personal property security issues.

Charlie believes in a pragmatic approach to disputes by ensuring his clients are fully aware of all aspects of the matter to ensure they are able to make the appropriate commercial decision.

Experience

Charlie’s experience includes:

• advising and acting in litigious matters regarding share sales, including claims for breach of warranties and misleading and deceptive conduct under the Australian Consumer Law
• providing strategic advice and commencing litigation on behalf of liquidators, administrators, receivers, statutory trustees and bankruptcy trustees in a variety of insolvency related disputes
• advising and commencing proceedings in a variety of property and leasing related disputes
• advising and commencing proceedings on behalf of manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services in respect of debt recovery, Personal Property Security issues and various trade practice issues
• acting for private lenders in enforcing securities over borrowers, including exercising powers of seizure and sale.
