Changes to enduring powers of attorney and advance health directives in Queensland

Important changes to enduring powers of attorney and advance health directives in Queensland will come into place on 30 November 2020. Included in these changes are new prescribed forms for enduring powers of attorney and advance health directives.

This is a hard deadline and there is no transition period for these changes.

The current enduring power of attorney and advance health directive forms must be used for documents signed up to and including 29 November 2020. Thereafter, new forms will need to be used for making an enduring power of attorney or advance health directive on or after 30 November 2020.
